In the Beginning

I have been messing around with Linux since 1998 and currently have a small heterogeneous office network. I have managed to screw up a lot of things, but I have also managed to fix them (OK most of them ;)). My only problem is remembering how I fixed them the first time around. So that's why I decided to create this site so I could keep track and maybe benfit other newbies out there with similar problems. I am also going to include some of my FavoriteShortcuts, which I use all the time because I am inherently lazy. I should also say that the majority of my experience has been with RedHat, but I have now switched to DebiaN.The majority of what I have learned about Linux can be directly attributed to PLUG, the local Linux Users Group. These groups are a wealth of knowledge and will make your experience with Linux that much more enjoyable. To find one near you try this link. This of course is a work in progress. If you see anything that I am wrong about or there is a better way to do it please put your two cents in. ContactMe for an editors password. If you want to practice before adding your two cents goto the SandBox. Also if you haven't figured it out yet I can't spell, maybe there is a spelling module out there....
